Message from Robert and Steve

12/20/2009

We are coming up to the difficult time of year when everyone around us is preparing for Christmas.

We are perhaps looking back on the last five years and thinking how we have managed our lives since Boxing Day 2004.   No doubt everything has changed, our attitudes, our perception of life and even the most mundane things take on a different aspect.

For the 5th anniversary there will be increased media interest.   We have posted some requests for interviews on our website.   We will also list the T.V. programmes which you may prefer to see or avoid as we find out about them.

Even though we have not given many updates since our last get together at Hidcote, organized by Barbara and Roger Jenman, the memorial is progressing.  It is still too early to give a full update and we hope to have some more positive news to send to everyone in the New Year.   All members will be asked for their ideas about the form and features of the memorial and meetings will be arranged.

We are making good progress with the new website and this should be up and running early 2010. (Please allow for a few glitches and interruptions).   This will allow us to communicate more easily with a forum and will be invaluable when we need to contact everyone and exchange ideas regarding the memorial.

Wherever and in whatever way you spend the Christmas weekend may you find some peace, remember happy events from the past and plan projects for the years to come.

With best wishes,

 Steve and Robert
